After catching up with New Old Friend at lunch today, I told her that a few days ago The Marine saw my apartment for the first time.
“Oh my goodness, were you really nervous about him seeing your place for the first time?” she asked.
Monday was a holiday here in the United States, giving us the perfect sunny three-day weekend. After weeks of hinting that he wants to join me at my apartment’s pool, I finally gave in to The Marine. The bastard.
“But we’re only going to the pool. Not my apartment. It’s dirty and I don’t want to clean it,” I told him over the phone. And I don’t want you making it stinky with your cigarette smoke.
“Does that mean yes?” he asked with a manly squeal.
I’ve been out a lot with friends this week because it’s my birthday, and because I’ve been out having fun with friends I haven’t been posting so much. Yada yada spank me. I want a cupcake.
