Jazz Man called to give me details for his gig on Saturday. We yada yada‘ed and then–

It was time to lay it all out on the table. He said now that we’ve met and gone through pleasantries, let’s be direct about everything. I took a big breath and said “okay, I’m sure you already know this, but I want to make absolutely sure there are no hurt feelings. I am not looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend thing, no marriage or serious crap. This is just fun and games.”
