The College Ex-Boyfriend

On Thursday night I’m meeting my college ex-boyfriend for dinner. We haven’t seen each other in years, so this has blog-worthy written all over it. Here’s hoping it comes with a side of smooch.

We kept in touch for a while after college but it tapered off when I moved out of the state. A few weeks ago I got to wondering about several old friends I haven’t talked to in ages and spent an entire evening googling people. I found Nice Ex on his company’s website and wrote him. We emailed, he called, we emailed some more, work deadlines, finally here we are meeting up on Thursday.

My First Time Sparkled

After receiving a delightfully large year-end bonus, I decided that I was going to buy one fun thing (not that getting the brakes on my car fixed isn’t a barrel full of jollies–weee, look at me stop suddenly!, and I don’t think buying more clothes for work to replace all the shirts with food stains and pants with coffee stains is exciting but more of a professional requirement so that I don’t out myself as being a dumbass who has been playing grown-up all this time).

On Friday I decided that I was going to walk into a nice jewelry store and buy myself whatever the fuck I wanted.
