The Chinatown-Chinatown Bus
Today I made flight reservations to Boston for my favorite cousin’s graduation. Dr. Science has been in college for years, so they finally told her she had run out of things to research and it was time to leave. I am very excited about spending four days in Boston with her. Waiting until June however is going to suck big donkey balls.
There was one year a while back when we both lived on the East coast at the same time. After many strings, resumes, and shameless begging, I had found an internship in Manhattan and deferred enrollment to grad school. I wanted a break. I wanted to live entirely on my own for the first time. I wanted to date sexy foreign men. I wanted to live the glamorous New York City life. But most importantly, I wanted to get the fuck away from Texas.
